Field Trip to the Washington Monument

Our 7th and 8th grade students had the awesome opportunity to ascend the Washington Monument this week!  On a beautiful spring day, students went up all 500 stories to the tallest structure in the nation’s Capitol to survey the city and experience a little urban vertigo. Following our tour of the monument and learning about the construction we visited the World War II memorial and walked along the reflecting pool to the Lincoln Memorial. Our monumental tour ended with a luxurious return in our special charter bus. It was an awe inspiring afternoon and an experience we won’t be quick to forget!
