Calleva Field Trip

Our 5th and 6th grade students tested their communication, planning, and teambuilding skills this past week on the rope challenge course with Calleva, the outdoor education company, in McLean. Students split into two groups where they worked together through various challenges and perilous obstacles.  Clear communication and cooperation were required to successfully belay "Jakob's Ladder" and to conquer the unsteady elements of the dinosaur inspired "Deuces".  Along the journey, students had the opportunity to test the thrilling zipline through the forest and construct shelters with working television sets and doorbells.  All of our students showed a strong growth mindset and displayed their knowledge from social and movement classes to complete the activities. A round of applause for our brave and successful 5th and 6th grade students!
