Fire Safety Presentation

Our Lower School students had the pleasure of hosting Lisa Montalvo, the Public Education Manager for Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System, last Friday for a very engaging presentation about fire safety in our homes and at school. She led an interactive discussion about identifying possible fire hazards (which our students loved!) including how to check to make sure your smoke alarm is working - Press the button and it should beep three times so everyone should check that now! As a special treat, four firefighters then arrived from nearby Sterling Station 24 to help show off their fire truck and all of their gear and equipment. We all got a truly close up view which was extra exciting! Many thanks to our community partners for this wonderful educational opportunity!
