Jurassic Encounter
Students in grades kindergarten through fourth grade were able to travel back in time with a Jurassic Encounter at Bull Run Regional Park this week. Students were able to get up close and personal with over 50 large animatronic or static statues of dinosaurs or dinosaur bones. Activity guides interacted with students using very lifelike puppets and costumes. This outdoor encounter included a sandpit for students to dig up dinosaur bones, fossils students could make rubbings of, and dinosaur themed bounce houses. This was a great opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of the Mesozoic Period.
