The White House Tour

Our students in 7th and 8th grade had the wonderful experience of visiting the White House this week. After being cancelled at the last minute the day before, we regrouped and took our charter bus into DC on a beautiful day. After waiting in line (for a long time!), four levels of security and many Secret Service encounters,  we finally made it into the beautiful building.  We explored many rooms and learned a lot about the different functions of each. Afterwards, we walked by the Treasury building to the Visitors Center where we learned more about the history and presidents. Many thanks to one of our parents for our White House souvenirs! It is so great to go to school in DC and be able to experience the city first hand!
