Restaurant Review
Over the past few weeks, all students participated in a social/writing project - and had a wonderful learning experience! First, in Social class, Mrs. Parks provided lessons in eating out including everything from how to choose a restaurant as a group to ordering politely to tipping. In writing class, the students decided on a restaurant from a provided list and conduct some research on the location and menu. The students and their teachers then went out for lunch at local establishments - everywhere from IHOP and Chilis to Sense of Thai and Okada Japanese. Upon their return, students wrote a review of the event, giving their opinions on atmosphere, food, service and more. The students and their teachers had a lot of fun with this project and, hopefully, parents will see some benefits too!
